i'm not moving (:
I'm contemplating on making a spanking new blog altogether for this year. I mean, this blog has been used ever since I started jc - maybe it's time I create another one to store new memories in? Heh.
So anyway, the first few days of 2010 had been fantaaaaastic :D New year's eve was spent with the family over the causeway for daddeo's birthday lunch and then with the doofus people at the airport (: I got home just in time for us to create our own countdown party, which I daresay is much more fun than the official ones that were around the island. We don't like crowds, our own crowd is more than enough (: What more can I ask for? New year with my loved ones beats everything else in the whole wide world. On new year's day itself was spent with the cousins singing our hearts out for four hours straight. Imagine the agony after the karaoke session omgzxzxz I couldn't even feel my own throat thereafter haha. After that it was straight to Nabins at Arab Street. Nabins is the shizneh I tell you!! I've never been in a restaurant more awesome than Nabins aaaahhhh :D The second day of 2010 was spent with my favourite boy heh heh (: And his bunch of awesomezxzxz friends. Really, I could grow some serious abs just by hanging out with them. Prolly have a relapse of asthma too, if I'm not careful hurhur. Movies (Sherlock Holmes. I SURVIVED TWO AND A HALF AGONIZING HOURS WOOHOO! okay, I cheated. Yan had to bite my shoulder in order to wake me up during the movie hehe) at Vivo, karaoke at Cash Studio (againnn!! this time for 3 hours) and then supper (at 2am in the morning omg aku sumpah makin gemok) at Spizeeeeee :D The boys were sweet enough to hang around Bedok just because it's nearer to home for me. They had to travel aaallll the way back to the other end of the island after that heee I feel so loved (: I just realised that there's a lot of Yan in my December. Not that I'm complaining but, I think that's the reason why my December had been amazing, despite the number of times that some doubts decided to bubble through my thoughts. But all those doubts had been cleared now, yay (: 30th December 2009 over at Shaw Towers shall remain in my book of memories forever and everrrrrr~ 2010, you've been good to me so far (: Alaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Yan going reservist for 3 weeks starting tomorrow boooooo :( HOLY CRAP SCHOOL STARTS TOMORROW!!!! 3..2..1.
2009 was by far, the best year I've ever had. As I read back all the past entries for this whole year, I realised that I've accomplished quite a few things which I'm pretty proud of despite going through some shit times that were undeniably inevitable (: 2009 made me a stronger person and maybe, just maybe, a better person. I just want to list down a few things that happened in 2009 that are at the top of my head now.
1. I found closure at last, after one whole year of living in denial. It didn't come at the earlier part of the year but at least, it happened (: You have no idea how relieved I was to be able to get out of that abyss at long last. 2. Because of that closure, I managed to get back the good friend in Kailani whom I've lost along the way (: 3. Found a lot of friends in people whom I never knew could be the few wonderful people in my life who I could depend on, no matter rain or shine. Yanie, Ducky, Mas, Luqman, Zack...just to name a few (: 4. Became a proud owner of a Honda CBR150 in February :DDDD and had my very first road accident in May hoho. 5. I managed to foster a goooooood relationship with most of my classes that I had this year. Teaching those kids had been a joy despite the i-want-to-pull-my-hair-out-of-my-head moments. They were the major reason and motivation for me to come to school every day. 6. I SURVIVED ANOTHER YEAR AT EAST SPRING PRIMARY SCHOOL WITHOUT GOING BONKERS. Well, almost. Another 6 more months to go (: 7. Being a teacher has definitely opened my eyes to a whole new different world that I never knew existed. 8. A friend was lost - forever. And I still miss him dearly. 9. "hey aishah... how's life so far? yan here." 10. And I want to spend many many more years together with that person who sent me that mindblowing text message on the 23rd May 2009 (: 11. I had the best birthday - ever. December really had been THE spectacular closure to my 2009. It may not seem a lot but I wouldn't exchange all of these moments and experiences that I had this year for anything else in the world. Thank you to every one who had been a part in making my 2009 an amazing year (: And now, it's time to bid farewell to 2009 and usher in 2010. Let's hope 2010 would be a smashing one, if not as amazing as 2009. Happy new year, loves. Labels: happy happy happy, numberings |

merry christmas indeed (:
I've never knew that being squashed in the backseat of the car could be so much fun (: Imagine 5 grown ups (2 men and 3 ladies) having to squeeeeeze in the backseat of a Proton (i can't remember what model though) up to the point where ventilation was so poor, I got giddy. Haha but no complaints, really. Like I said, it was...awesome (for the lack of better word).
So it was the surprise birthday party at the Botanic Gardens for the birthday girl aaaand then we scooted off to SMU for Settlers! I'm in love with that place already hoho. It's like Mind's Cafe, only much cheaper, yes? (: It was, indeed, an awesome (heh heh) night. They are the few rare people whom I can click with within a span of a few hours, laughing my ass out plus having no shame whatsoever in being stupid and all (: Maybe, just maybe, this is finally the sincerity and genuinity that I've been looking for all these time -- with absolutely no sweet talking involved whatsoever. And I like it this way, couldn't ask for more (: We're friends, that's the bottomline of it all. December had been awfully amazing so far and I've got a feeling that it's going to be a spectacular closure to my 2009 (: Thank you, Allah, for blessing me with such wonderful people in my life to keep me happy. p.s. My favourite picture for the night hehe : Labels: happy happy happy, Yan |

Being in a place like Australia makes you wonder in awe and appreciate the beauty that He gave us to actually see. The green blue sea, the clear blue skies, the fine sands, how the sun transformed the sea into glittering sapphires in the morning... All of that made you be humbled at your very existance to be able to witness the beauty of this place called Earth.
I would give anything, anything at all, to be back there someday (: Labels: happy happy happy |

eggcitementttt
I'm excited I'm excited I'm exciteddddddd :D
First, there's the Masquerade themed dinner&dance to look forward to in less than 24hours. Why is it such a big deal? It's the first ever event that I'm gonna be hosting -- and dressed outrageously flamboyant to the theme. Hehe I shall put up a picture later to show you guys what I'm talking about :D Then there'll be this overnight chalet especially for the malay staffs of the school (: I shall just chuck all the ugly things that happened this year to one corner and enjoyyyyyy~ Next, is the Australia trip NEXT WEEK OMGZXZXZXZXZXZXZX. I don't actually care that it's burning a huge hole in my pocket (plus i had to get some help from others) just to go for this trip because it's gonna worth every while. Insya'Allah (: After that is the tentative Bangkok trip in February hehehehehe. I is sungguh gatal but we'll see how this Bangkok trip will go. It's not even brought up for discussion with the parents lol. But the best thing to look forward to would be in December (: There's a lot of You in December that I can't wait for <3 Labels: happy happy happy |

we'll take the trail marked on your father's map.
Before I knew it, we were walking, tumbling across each other's paths, giggling like small children as we found our secret place. We sat down eventually, you first, and then you pulled me down with you. It was quiet, but we were at ease with that silence. Sometimes, silence is the best conversation to have. I don't have to say anything to you, and somehow, you figured out what was weighing on my mind.
"I care about you too, you know. Sometimes more than anyone else." That does it. So we found a trail that led us to somewhere we've never been to before. With nothing but the moon (okay fine, and a few lamp posts) to guide us along, we discovered more than we could ever bargain for. I found you, and that's all that matters right now (: Labels: happy happy happy |

Babe, one of the thousand and one reasons that I can come up with would be - it's simply because you saw me even when I'm invisible (:

They think that I'm oblivious to their little fun that they are having by commenting tak-perlu comments on my facebook. Hehe looking at them trying so hard to be quiet while I do my work is really endearing la (: Thank you, Allah, for blessing me with such amazing people in my life. Thank you, my darlings, for being just right here with me.

chasing cars
"Relationships are overrated la, really."
"You're one to talk. You're in a bloody relationship yourself." "Like I said, it's overrated..." "Shah, let's say when we're 30 eh, and the both of us are not married, we marry each other la." "Ah can. I'll sms you on my 30th birthday la k. We get married on that day itself." (: Ben & Jerry's. Fast & Furious 4. Awesome movie buddy. Kickass conversations. That's all it takes to make the whole bullshit of a week seem insignificant. Thanks, Zul. Till the next movie rendezvous. Labels: friends, happy happy happy |

you set my soul alight
Saturday was absolutely well spent (:
Met up with Ezal to go down to the bike shop and got myself a full faced helmet yay! But right now it's being beautified by one of Ezal's extremely talented friend in designing helmets ahem, so I expect the helmet to be a head turner (pun intended) on the road later. Huahuahua habes mat mat motor lain langgar tiang tengok helmet aku =D Pillioned Ezal and meet the rest of them doofus idiots (: It's been ages since all of us actually went out together. Usually either one of us would be too busy with the girlfriend *coughs apek coughs*, or one of us would be too tired from camp to even lift his ass up from bed *coughs ezal coughs*, or one of us is suffering a hangover from too much partying the night before *coughs xueling coughs*, or one of us would rather spend his time studying for his upcoming A'levels but ends up rotting in front of Xbox *coughs kel coughs*, or one of us is just too busy going in and out of the country c0s mentang mentang da ord *coughs aiman coughs*. So all of us compromised today aaaand decided to go... 1. Karaoke. Nyanyi lagu jiwa retak punya lagu aku takleh tahan. *oh sayang di mana kau beradaaaaaa...janganlah kau lupakan akuuuu...* 2. Pooled. Only the boys played la. Xueling and I were fucking hopeless at it, even Aiman who is the most patient person I know, lost his temper at us hehe. We were only good for flirting with the ahbeng in charge to let the boys play longer without paying the extra charge. Okay wait, that was only Xueling. 3. Bowled. We sempat challenge the group playing beside us to a game. Hahahaha miraculously, we kicked their asses siaaaa =D 4. Arcaded. We brought the whole arcade down. Table hockey, Daytona, Parapara dance (Apek champion siol), that drumming thingie (kel and ezal had a showdown. close fight close fight *nods head*), and my favourite la basketball =D The losing pair had to treat the rest shisha. 5. Shisha-ed. Surprisingly, Kel and Apek were the losing pair so the rest of us took advantage and ordered 5 shishas. Sumpah tak perlu. Ordered different kinds of stupid flavours just for the sake of burning their pockets haha. 6. Spent the whole night frolicking around the beach and singing at the top of our lungs like deranged idiots. Oh, wait, we ARE deranged idiots. And of course I was put in the center of attention of everyone else when they saw that liquid paper message at waterbreaker number 1. Heh. My favourite quote that night was, "But you guys don't knooooowww..." Their favourite reply? "Kau bodoooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhh..." Despite that, Saturday, a-w-e-s-o-m-e. They really are my happy pills (: Oh and I got another Adidas jacket. It was a gift and you'll NEVER guess who it's from (: Labels: happy happy happy |

looking back
In less than a week's time, I'd be nineteen.
Nineteen is an awkward age because, you're neither here nor there. There isn't really much of a significance in turning nineteen. But anyway, I'm gonna list down the things that I have done as an eighteen-year-old thus far. Okay, maybe it's pretty much listing the things I did this year ah. 1. Enrolled for bike license and gotten THE license. The only logical thing to do when you turn 18, right? Getting a license hurhur. Attaining the car license is still in progress. Hopefully by April next year, I can be cruising in both the bike and car =D 2. Went for a makeover photoshoot session with me girlies and ended up looking like a bapok siam. Heh, it's not everyday that I get transformed into my phobia, you know? 3. Actually earned some good moolahs by performing at Balaclava, performed once at Acid Bar, did a few gigs at places I can't really recall, and also performed at wedding functions (: This, by far, has got to be the best things I could ever do as an eighteen-year-old. 4. And because of my active performing days, the parentals allowed me to stay out all night if I gotta (only when the boys seeked permission from my parents personally) and stayed out all night I did, hehe. I have a strict curfew of 11PM before this lor. Actually the curfew is still on since I don't do anymore performances but ahwell, I'm fine with the curfew (: 5. Went on a crazy dating spree by dating 10 (more or less) guys simultaneously. That is something that I'm definitely not proud of but I gotta admit, the thrill and adrenalin rush of dating 10 guys at one go is (i can't believe i'm saying this) awesome. But it gets boring and tiring after a few dates so right now, I'm just down to one. Okay, this one, actually isn't one of the 10 guys. Shall go into detail about him some other time (: 6. Became a teacher. This, has got to be one of the most surreal things that ever happened in my life. Most surreal, yet at the same time, one of the best things that ever happened to me. And it happened at quite a good time too -- when I'm 18. Ah, you know, being 18 is like a symbol of how you're actually turning into an adult, right? And nothing else can show how much you're turning into an adult other than by being a teacher to like, a few hundred kids. This is one of the thousand millions things which I'm thankful for (: 7. Went clubbing. Heh, again, nothing to be proud of but at least I don't have to stick to underaged parties or smuggle myself into clubs since I'm already e-i-g-h-t-e-e-n. But being 18 or older doesn't serve much in this area c0s it's not like as if I go clubbing every weekend. Heck, I can count the number of times I actually went clubbing on these two hands. 6 times. I don't plan on adding another finger to that. 8. Smoked. Hahaha this one, before I'm 18 also do already. But, ahem, I did it legally, that's the difference =D 9. Smuggled underaged kids to shisha and also helped underaged kids buy cigarettes ahahahaha -_- I'm so ashamed of myself. 10. Went night cycling! And I'm gonna do it again soon! Girls, night cycling? =D 11. Earned an income close to twothousandfivehundredsmackeroos in a month by working like a dog (having 3 jobs, i think that's worse than working like a dog) earlier this year. 12. Owned a PSP and then gave it away to someone I haven't met ever since. Haha, no, I'm not regretting it, really (: 13. Had my heart broken more than once. 14. The first time I actually LOST my handphone for real. Usually it'll just be me misplacing it somewhere and got it back. This time, it's POOF - gone, for good. Sigh, I still miss that phone. 15. Went across the world on my own to actually think about staying there permanently. Okay, in short, to run away from harsh reality in Singapore when my heart was still in pieces the other time. Heh, I was that retarded omgzxz. 16. Got accepted into NUS and turned it down so that I don't cause any financial burden to papa and can actually support myself by going into teaching. I've never regret rejecting that offer and I won't ever regret it (: 17. Rode on Ezal's, Yan's, Apek's, Musa's, Qhairil's bikes illegally while I was still in pursuit of getting my own license. Oh, and also I got to drive a Mercedes convertible as well as a Porsche, courtesy of the two richest friends I've ever had - Kel and Farah. 18. Donated blood. And I don't mind doing it over and over again (: Yeppp, so that pretty much sums up my life as an 18-year-old. It wasn't as bad as I thought now that I've put it this way despite how shitty this whole year had been. But hey, ultimately, the year had been a kickass one, in more ways that I could ever look at it. I'm blessed with awesome friends and the best family I could ever ask for, alhamdullilah (: Labels: happy happy happy, numberings, rambles |

when you come back down
Okay, not really, I was just all ready to go for my dinner&dance. And probably make up for the past two prom nights where I had quite-disastrous-dresses heh. This white dress didn't cost me a whopping hundredandfivesmackeroos for nothing eh. Syafiq, for that, you owe me three pairs of Nine West shoes, two Guess bags and, I donno, prolly another pair of shoes =D ![]() Thanks a gazillion to this angel, I looked decent that night with fabulous make-up on (: If I tried putting on the make-up myself, I'll most likely look like a wayang pekji character -- which is not half as bad c0s maybe, who knows, I could've won The Most Retarded person that night heee. And she also discovered that I had cacat double eyelids =DVenue: Crowne Plaza Hotel's (the airport hotel) ballroom. It was supposedly a very grand hotel but I don't feel much of its grand-ness that night. Food was okay, tasted a little special maybe c0s I was starving. Apart from that, the company kicked ass (: I shall leave captions out because even if I did any introduction...it doesn't matter anyway right? Honestly, these teachers really know how to party. I was blown awaaaay (: Labels: happy happy happy, photos |
