Sometimes, I really think that I'm better off without a mother.
At least, without a mother like mine. Now for these last three months to pass, Oh God please let it pass soon so I can be far, far, away from her and stop harbouring these sickening thoughts and feelings. At least, my absence around this house would make her happier - it's enough if one of us is happy. Labels: familia |

You know how weddings are supposed to be a happy occasion and such? How weddings are supposed to be like a union of two different families, and somehow or rather, work their differences out and...I donno, live happily together?
Yeah, what does 'live happily' actually mean, right? For all we know, that's just a distorted, morbid thinking that we tend to buy after watching all those christmassy movies about families getting warm and fuzzy over a fireplace (wtf). Anyway. Weddings. Families getting together. Happy occasion. Nope, not for mine. Weddings. Families tearing apart. Put-up-false-front occasion. Labels: familia |

to the bestest person in the whole wide world
![]() She's the only mother who would come back with the most sarcastic remark (which are always so funny that i ended up rolling all over the floor laughing) everytime I make fun of her. She's the only mother I know who cooks only once a week (which is awesome, i tell you. so each time she cooks, it'd be heavenly). She's the only mother who would tak-tahu-malu-ly ask for a birthday present from her kids and pretend she didn't when we really gave her what she wanted. She's the only mother I know who's as stubborn as her kids are. She's the only mother I know who can say "Whateverrrrrr..." perfectly. And she's the only mother I know, who's nothing but the greatest and bestest of them all :)
Happy 51st birthday, Mama :) Even though papa commented that you're getting shorter as you get older, even though kakak and I kept making fun of your bellybelly, even though abang suggested that you go dye your hair, you are, the most beautiful woman I know. I tell you, my mama has the softestestestest cheeks, that's why I love kissing her :) And look how dark I am in comparison to her. She's got freckles la seh. Haha. I digressed. I love you, mama :) Labels: birthday wishes, familia |

aishah's granny
My grandma has the cutest way of identifying my friends (those who i managed to introduce her to) because she can't possibly remember their real names already. And so, she resorts to giving them really...not-what-you-can-think-of-as nicknames. Really. Some of it may appear to be rather insulting at first but, well, that's her own method of recognising who is who (because i have suuuch extensive network of friends *rolls eyes*) when I start to babble my endless stories about them to her.
Anyway, the newest addition to her loooooooong list of nicknames for my friends (funnily enough, all of them are boys): Tempeh (sometimes i refer to him as Setan. hahahahahhaa). Well, I guess that's soooooooo much better than Bingai. Or Selenge for that matter. I love my nyai. She rocks my smelly...dah kembang (read: no longer elastic) bra. On an entirely different matter altogether (obviously this part of my entry has got nothing that pertains to the title), I'm sad. Ezal's gone to NS. Meaning no more Ezal-let's-go-make-me-happy-and-riding-riding-around-in-the-cold-night-air on random WEEKDAY nights. No more Aishah-let's-go-and-make-merry (hahaha you don't have to know what this means). No more ordering of McDonalds whenever we get hunger pangs at atrocious hours of the night. No more going around banging on his bedroom window to wake him up because he'd be gone for most of the times. And when he could actually be in his room, he'd most probably be too tired from the camp and all, and I'm not that heartless and unthoughtful to be waking him up like that. Sigh. Plus, apart from Ezal... Okay, never mind. This part I shall still keep mum about it until the official day itself comes. Only then I'd whine like as if the world's gonna end tomorrow. three days of the 18th :)
Despite being all mopey about the birthday being the best yet the worst one, I still am a happy goober for the fact that I indeed, had the best birthday ever. Nyaha. Well, it won't help if I concentrate on the boo-boos so I'll just stick with all the wonderful memories that my loved ones gave me for my 18th :)
Pre-birthday. (15122007) The boy brought me out for a movie :) The Warlords! Haha, not recommendable for people who doesn't like depending on subtitles to find out what's going on. Nor is it recommendable for people who don't find Jet Li and Takeshi Kaneshiro hooooooooooooooottttttt =D I have a thing for these two dudes la so obviously I like the movie many many :) Thank you, Mr.Kailaniiiii. Nyeheh. Rushed to the airport thereafter to send the parents off to Indonesia for their, erhem, honeymoon trip *chuckles* They really do need the break and taking time off to go Padang/Bukittinggi, just the two of them is perfect :) Papa was soo selamba in wishing me an advanced happy birthday what with his traditional gift of 50smackeroos. Heee. Aaaand then it was off to Arab Street with abang, kak Dila, kakak, Qhairil, Sufyan and Kai :)))) It was pretty messy to get around because everybody was at different places at that point of time and it didn't help that most of the cafes at Arab Street was packed with people. What made it worse was that there was this shopaholic party going on at one of the lanes (which we were eating at, unfortunately) with free beer flows and loud annoying music. Bleargh. The smell (of the beer) and sounds just get to me and I ended up having a headache while trying to sheesha. Thank God for the people whom I love are around me so it wasn't all that bad :) Qhairil gave me his present which was shamelessly opened by kakak, of course. Thaaaaaaaaaankk youuu!! And I love the way Yan sheepishly wished me happy birthday with that crooked smile of his *chuckles* (kai takmo jealous hor) =D We had to end the night a little earlier at 10 because abang and kak Dila both had the morning shift the next day. The best part about that night was when I got home, there was this deranged girl trying to sneak up behind me and attempted to cover my eyes but tak menjadi =DDDDDDD just because I had to turn at that precise time when she was running out from her hiding place to me laaa. Haiyah, I'm a surprise spoiler. Hehehe =D And then she and her accomplice covered my eyes anyway and led me to the place where another girl was armed with a birthday cake and candles which were melting on the cake =DDDDDDDDDD That was my first surprise that anybody has ever sprung on me on my birthday :) So you can imagine how elated I was when they sang me my birthday song and I had to blow the candles immediately or we'd have a waxy cake to eat =D I wasn't just happy, I was elated :) All thanks to my beautiful angels and I don't think I need to introduce them anymore :) And of course, the people who played a part in the whole surprise too were kakak and Kai. No wonder the both of them were mysteriously messaging and covering their phones whenever I tried to take a peep. Hehe. I felt so loved that night. Really :') Thank you, sayang-sayangku, thaaaaank you so muchhh :))) Then the messages started to come in. I've thanked them personally but I just feel like posting a general thank you to all of them here :) Dila, Firdaus, Kak Dila, Taufiq, Syafiq, Faisal, Apek, Xueling, Ridhwan, Fatin, Nadzerah, Seri, Nurul, Shereen, Ibu, Yani, Huda, Fawwaz (Ducky), Kak Nad, Cik Ina, Daddy, Bik Ziah, Anwar, Farhan, Haikel, Alex, Melati aaand Hafiz :) Birthday! (16122007) Since the parents were away and dad's car was pretty much not in use, the sister decided to drive ourselves around! =D Haha, it was surprising that dad actually allowed her to use in the first place, knowing what a lousy driver she is *chuckles* But it was okay. The car didn't suffer any scratches and I'm still alive to be blogging this =D Anywaaaay, she was feeling very generous to me on my birthday aaaand treated me to Sakae Sushi =DDDDDDDDDD Omg, I almost overdosed myself on the unagi but hey, that's the whole point =D Went to my third mama's house afterwards since I share the same birthday with my cousin :) Ibu gave me this beeeeyoooottiful necklace which I've alwayssss wanted :))) Hudadadadada sprung another surprise on me! I've got what I wanted all along for my birthday - a surprise. And I got two surprises! =D Post-birthday (17122007) Daddy and Cik Ina messaged me early in the morning asking me out to Johor with them yesterday :) Kakak and I were really hyped up c0s Johor = Dunkin' Donuts! I was craving thaaat badly for them donuts but.... THOSE Just because my passport photo that was taken about 8 years ago wasn't changed yet. Dammit la it's just a bloody photo! The officers at Singapore let me off and why can't they?! Wahlao it was damn pissifying la can? We were already at the Johor checkpoint and we had to return back to Singapore just because of a stupid photograph! I know I look hideous in that picture but it's just a bloody pictureeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Gah. Okay, obviously I'm still pissed off because their attitude was THAT atrocious. Sheesh. But daddy and Cik Ina wasn't gonna let those stupid officers spoil our night so we went back to Causeway Point to have our dinner instead. Swensen's :)) Tak heran lah nak gi Johor. Bluek! And then later that night, everything was okay. Yet again. Although I'm not going to let my guard down this time round because it's happened far too many times. Whatever you said the night before also played a part. But still, we'll try and work this out as far as we can go... Turning a year older has never been this great :) Thank God for all the angels who made me feel so loved. Pictures will be up in the next post! Labels: birthday wishes, familia, friends, Kai |

this entry couldn't get any more random
Thou shall slap your head till thou do not fall asleep when faced with books/notes/doing practice papers. I have to chant that everytime my eyes get droopy. Gargh. I shall slap my head till it have one big benjol even. Tsk. Oh and my forehead is a breeding ground for pimples already, great. Stress punya pasal. Siak betol. Kailani's biceps are very very big now =D When he puts his right arm around my neck so that I could lean on him more comfortably, it wasn't really that comfortable because of the heeeuuggeee hump I feel at the back of my neck. Wooooooooo, Mohammad Kailani getting sexier eh eh ehhh =P Nyahahahaha. I realised that I'm getting old. I have many many anak sedara-s already. And all of them are keyo0o0ot nak mampos. Dah besar confirm jadi heartbreaker. I really should stop trying to put on lipgloss/lipstick. My lips simply couldn't take the chemicals that I dab on each time I tried looking glamorous. My face is back to being its sensitive self again. I could feel the mosquito-like bumps forming on my cheeks, eurgh. Having sensitive skin is such a sad, sad thing. Now I need to figure out how am I suppose to survive the whole night of wayang pekji make-up for prom. Gah. Confirm my face will itch halfway through eating my 10-course meal. My sister NEEDS to start looking her age. This whole yang-mana-satu-kakak-yang-mana-satu-adik thing is SERIOUSLY getting to me already la, annoyiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinng! Or is it just me? Even the movie usher said my boyfriend looks younger than I do when he's NINE months older than I am :( Eh, my sister's THREE FRIGGING YEARS older la okay, and people said I look older. Maybe I should start drawing fake wrinkles around my eyes and make my cheeks sag to achieve a better effect. Only then I'll be convinced that I indeed look older. Sheesh.
![]() I can't pull off a girly look for nuts. Put me in a dress and people will wonder why doesn't this cow go moo. People say I'm a carbon copy of my brother. I BEG TO DIFFER. I, Aishah, am NOT a carbon copy of my brotheerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! See! Oh, he asked me to go bowling with him this afternoon and I gave him thaaaat look. Haha. Which reminds me, MOHAMMAD KAILANI, WE GO BOWLING AFTER MY A'LEVELS OKAY? Heh, the last time we went bowling was on a triple date and he was on a winning roll. Love, la :) Can I have another one of those triple date thing again? :)) With Hanan and Syida this time round, maybe? Nad, if you manage to choose ONE guy out of the millions that are queueing for you, kita empat-empat pergi skali kay? Saaaaaaaaaaaayang korang banyak-banyak! *hug hug*Duit collection this year not so good. HAHAHAHA okay that sounds so morbid. But really! Even mama was surprised. There was once a few years back when I was still in primary 6 or in sec 1, the amount can fetch up to 500++ smackeroos just on the first day of raya. Hesh. Maybe because I was still young and chubby and cute so people give me more. Now still chubby but lost appeal already, so give less. Lagipon, people might think I'm already working since I look older than kakak. So when kakak declined to receive any duit raya saying that she's already working, people assumed that I'm already working as well because I look older -_-" kakak: Cik, tak payah cik. Saya dah kerja. makcik: Oohhhh dah kerja! Ini adiknya kan? (faces me) me: Tak, ini maknya. Saya dah retire pon. -___________________________-" Bochap, already. Ohh and to youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu... Nobody has ever asked you to be like me. That's as far as I remember, and as far as I know. But maybe, just maybe, if you were to change your attitude a little, and start behaving decently around your elderly, you won't feel the pressure of the need to "be like me". Because for one thing, I hate people who try to be like me. And another, I hate being compared to, just like you. Gah, why am I even bothering with this? Eh, the annual open house that my family does is this Saturday! Haha, not bad for a random entry. I managed to get things out of my chest for a bit. Ohyes, this is definitely waay belated but Selamat Hari Raya! Hoho. Oh, sebelum awak maafkan saya, izinkan saya meletakkan gambar s.s saya yang mungkin meluatkan hati anda sekalian. Eh, sekali-sekala saya nak taruk gambar saya pakai baju kebaya, you..takkan tu pon nak meluat? Hahahahaha (ahaaai aku macam nak sepak diri aku sendiriiii). Selamat hari raya, maaf zahir dan batin :)Labels: familia, photos, word diarrhoea |

just like a star across my sky :)
This past weekend had been filled with many...heart-to-heart talks. And it opened my eyes to a whole new world of understanding after knowing a lot of things which I've either been oblivious to, or chose to ignore about. But it's good, really, to finally know what is going on, to know how other people feel about it, to know for the umpteenth time now, that I'm not the only one living in this world, to know that there are actually people who....care. And that was the nicest thing that I found out, by far, for the past weekend :)
Aaaanyway to roughly sum up my weekend (or a few days before that), I had fun :) Went to accompany Kai to collect his neeeeewwww spectacles which he was so excited about after school on Thursday =D It ended up being slightly too big for his small and thin and not chubby face (i can declare that the width of my face as compared to his would be in the ratio of 2:1 *chuckles*) but still, he looks like some goody-two-shoes boboy what with his already baby face =D I looooooooooooooooooiiikkee. Cair, saya *beegbeegsmile* ![]() On Friday, I made my last and final trip to Geylang for this whole month. I hope. Heh, finally got around there to buy something that I actually really like and fell in love with, since the last time I went there before this, I bought something as a last resort. Mm, okay, I don't know if I made any sense but you all get the drift, no? Haha, bottomline is, I'm in love with the baju kebaya which I bought =D =D =D And to think that this year, kakak and I have two sets of baju-s which are similar, if not identical. Apart from that, Friday was loved-ly spent with my second mummy, Qhairil, Kai and kakak :) I've been wanting to spend a day together with both the boyfriend and my cousin, yay! Broke fast at Gramps' place and I tell you, I couldn't be a happier goober that day :) Oh and, finally, finally, I satisfied my overwhelming desire to light up the night sky with fireworks, literally =D Okay, not the night sky but at least some part of the night, it was being lighted up with...fireworks (i donno why but i find it hard to make any sense in my sentences today. hmm..). Kai and I bought this humongous firecraker (or so we thought) when we were at Geylang earlier in the afternoon, thinking that it'd give a lot of commotion if we actually got around to set it on. Hahahahahahahaha but it the end, much to the boys' and my dismay, it was just a huge confetti popper. So the tailong uncle who sold me that bloody thing told us a lie. Gah. But it's okay :) My thumb got burnt while trying to light up our fireworks, we threw our fireworks sticks across the field to create a "shooting star" effect, burnt the empty boxes of the sticks and pretend to burn incense paper, laughed our asses off while trying to figure out how to pop the bloody confetti popper....Fun is an understatement :) After that, we stayed up all night long, much to gramps' annoyance, just talking. Love, really. Saturday - Qhairil and I scrubbed and cleaned and unhook all over gramps' place, heh. Nothing much happened for the whole of Saturday, I just remembered a lot of telling Qhai to shut up or laugh at his idiocy =D We both made our way home (or so that's what gramps thought) after breaking fast. Rejected Qhai's offer to join him and the boys to go shisha-ing and went to meet the doofus people instead :) It's been eons since the four of us managed to hang out together and Saturday night couldn't be a better time. This time, Kel's new beau joined us for the night. Hmm, maybe she hasn't really warm up to us yet so she kept quiet most of the time. Kel, being the..uhh, supportive boyfriend that he is, sensed that his girlfriend wasn't that comfortable with us yet, decided to keep quiet too -_-" Xueling, being the more expressive one than I am, was thiiiiis close *shows index finger and thumb together* to sticking up her green straw up her nose the next moment Kel's girlfriend (who goes by the name of Farah, btw) stuck her nose up in the air again. Haha, I wonder why. The night ended with Xueling buying me loads of accessories, nyehehehe. I'm in love with the Chomel choker, darling, thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu *blowskisses* ![]() Qhai: Eh Kai, kalau kau break up ngan Aishah, aku tak nak layan kau lagi ah. Kai: Eh please ah Q jangan cam gini ah! *chuckles* I have a veeeery, verrrrrrrrrrrrryy protective abang sedare. Nyahaa! I love you, dude :) A lot of heart-baring talks happened yesterday. And I shall not delve too much into it. But the best thing about yesterday was, I spent the entire day with my family. That's the best thing that happened for the whole of this week :) And a trip to Ikea made the day so much better toooooooooooooo ^_^ Kaaaai, let's go to Ikea again okay? They have loads of new furniture to oogle and fantasize with =D 4 more days to raya. Somebody explain the ambivalence I'm feeling towards this? Oh yes, that would mean, at the same time, I've only got.......16 more days to A'Levels after that. Dammit. |

Tuesday, September 25, 2007 @ 1:42 PM
If I were to take a look at my past national examinations, according to my parents, I'd pretty much screw all of them up.
Let's see, for PSLE, I've gotten an aggregate of 232. I was happy upon receiving my results of course, but when I delivered the so-called good news to mom and dad, they went, "232, aje?" Hookay, so reading in between the lines, that's a screw up. For O'Levels, I bawled my eyes out upon receiving my results. They were not exactly tears of happiness, really. I just felt that I've caused yet another major disappointment to my parents. My friends thought I was being ridiculous, of course. What's my L1R5 you ask? 14 bloody points. And I cried. True enough, my parents weren't satisfied. They were not at all comforting when I called them up with a choking voice in school. Ohwell. So, at a glance, in my parents' opinion, I've been a major screw up. What makes me think that I'm gonna repeat all of that again for A'Levels? There's no way, no how am I going to throw my chances of doing at least averagely well for this A'Levels. It's about time that I prove to them that I'm not such a screw up after all. yellow butterfly.
And so I didn't keep my promise to blog the night(s) (?) before because I got a sudden relapse of blogger's block. Haha, if ever such a thing exists. So I'm just going through the pictures in my phone, which happen to capture the events of the past week or so. It's pretty useful since it triggers all sorts of memories back into my evaporated brain. Yes, prelims had pretty much drain out my already shrivelled brain to what's being left of it now - nothing. Very sad, I know.
Ohwell. Sunday - Went to the Botanic Gardens with Kailani-san! Haha, very random I know. But the boy wanted to go around snapping pictures, and snap pictures he did. That boy's got a knack for photography now and he makes me look like an idiot with all the photographs that I took. Nyahaha but it's okay :) And I didn't know that he was such a fussy person until that day. All the pictures that he took were all bloody nice but he kept cursing and cursing for godknowswhat reasons =\ He only got satisfied when he sat down quietly to view the pictures that he took - which are all good shots, really. *shakes head* Don't comment about how chubby I look in that picture compared to him. I know -_-" ![]() ![]() Monday - Had no school because I didn't have any paper. So went to tuition with Naddiee to prepare ourselves for Maths paper two the next day. The tuition session was quite fruitful since we were the last to leave our tutor's house trying to tackle a hypothesis testing question =D Ended up breaking our fast outside at the "restaurant" that our tutor recommended. It was ooookay la just that our food tasted a bit bland. Must be because that the cook himself was fasting, so cannot taste the food, heh. Got approached by this dude and he asked for us to volunteer ourselves for some community work which will take place right smack in the middle of our A'levels. Then what he stereotyped us Malay TPJCians about definitely going to NUS's FASS because that's the "standard route" for us. Idiot. Who is he to judge anyways. Sheesh. That has been my dream course even way before I decided to enter TPJC hookay, Mr Iylia Fadzlon (i took a peep at his namecard. i dont even remember what his name was, hah.)
Tuesday - Had Maths paper 2. Wasn't that confident about doing well but whattheheck. Went straight home thereafter and just...slept the day away. I think. Wednesday - I-can-just-go-and-die day. Chemistry's MCQ couldn't be any harder and it was the first bloody time that I left a malay comprehension question BLANK. Only because I didn't read a single shit on the National Day Rally speech made by our dear, dear prime minister. And to make things worse on that day, the bloody woman had to come and pay me a visit -_-" Ohwell, but on the bright side, I get to break fast with Kai after my malay paper which ended atrociously late at 6PM. Okay la, I didn't technically fast since the bloody woman visited but I still have yet to eat the whole day, you know. Heh. The night was almost spoilt by me (yet again) if it wasn't for him to just turn the whole situation the other way round just like that :) I'm still having the fuzzy jittery feeling thinking about that :)))) Thursday - Dragged my fat ass down to school at 2.30PM JUST to have a bleeding one hour paper of Biology's MCQ. Wasn't that bad, really. It would be the first time in these entire two years I spent in JC that I might actually pass my Bio :) Shrivelled up brain up in my skull, remember? Heh. And that marks the end of our prelims, yay. Met up with Syida and Nadiah to go around searching for Hanan's present but the sister just had to text me asking me to buy emergency sawi. Sawi. For her black pepper spaghetti that she's cooking for our so-called dinner. Riiiiiight. So I forgo the plan to follow the girls and went to buy sawi for the sister. Tsk. Friday - Broke fast with Kai again but this time with Dila and Taufiq :) Hoho, I requested them to be my guinea pigs for my stickychewybrownies =D I finally, finally got around how to make my brownies extraaaa chewy, yay! That's the way how brownies are suppose to taste like, right? I noticed that the brownies I baked turns out cakey somehow, and that's not very nice, no? Ohwell =D I got it, yay yay yay! *dancesaround* Kai wanted to go terawih after breaking fast and I wanted to meet Kak Husna (whom I haven't met for eons!) for awhile to pass them the brownies since her birthday is the next day :) Dropped by school for awhile with Kai being the shy one (as always) since they're having an iftar gathering for the MLEP peeps :) Hooohmygod how I miss Kak Hus. Hugged her like mad when I saw her. Have I mentioned that I love her heaploads? :)
Saturday - Went to Nyai's place for buka! =D That's the one thing which I've been looking forward to all week because I get to feel what it's like to be in the comfort of....warmth. Ohwell. I shall not delve so much into it, not really worth knowing about anyway. So yes, coincidentally, my third mama was there too, together with another uncle of mine so it was pretty full house. Love, really, I couldn't ask for a better iftar with the family like this. After that, went around Geylang with the sister and our second mummy to go searh for our baju raya. This year's haul is veeeeeeeeeeeery pathetic. Everywhere is selling the same bloody thing and those baju-s that are not that common cost a bomb. Sheesh. In the end we settled for something quite...okaaay (i really cannot find any better word) and it turns out that we bought identical baju kebaya. Hahahahaha, the last time sis and I wore identical bajus for raya was well over a decade ago. Last resort la I guess, can't do anything much heh.
He's such a happy baby, this Muhammad Nishfran =D Geram, aku! Heh, no darlings, I did NOT throw him across the room after all these happy happy phototaking sessions. Nyeeh =D and he's such a camwhore for a one-year-old! Pandai posing =D See what I mean? Sunday- Accompanied Naddie to get the remaining presents for Hanan. Hehe, since Hanan kept complaining about the people who received those gigantic helium balloons for their birthday, we decided to get her one too =D One heeeeeeuge balloon, really. We got our fair share of weird stares/gawks from a lot of people while making our way home from City Hall to Tampines. Hehe. Thank goodness for a boyfriend who lives like only five meters away from our school, we put the balloon over at his place first, reason being, Nad couldn't possibly bring it to school for fear that she'll bump into the birthday girl on the way. I couldn't bring it from all the way home because the buses in the morning are jam-packed, I could hardly breathe. Syida would be likewise. And so, Kai became our perfect balloon-keeper for the night until I drop by his house to get the balloon the next morning :) To prove that it's really gigantic..
HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY, HANAN!Okay, I'm dead tired now, having not slept for the entire night last night. But it was worth it, losing sleep like that. The heart-to-heart talk with Dila really made me realise so many things. Thank you, babe :) I shall end off this very, very long entry with this - I love you, Mohammad Kailani :) <3 Labels: birthday wishes, familia, friends, Kai, photos, rambles |
